The design by Simon Spencer for a built in book case cornice with dentil and patrea having fluted upper pilasters on deep returned pilaster base pediments and rebated lower pilasters

Returned corner bookcase shelving and cupboard.

A dentil cornice over fluted pilasters with square head motifs and rebated lower pilasters with bolection door mouldings, decorative moulded central panels and small pilaster base mouldings to the built in corner book case

The panelled doors of this lower section of the built in book shelves, have been painted to compliment the stained oak floor.  There was a “double skirting” to conceal the difference in the floor levels.  Design details that make the distinctive finish.

Simon Spencer’s design for the detailed work in this fitted bookcase for the library has given the decorative painter the opportunity to use his extraordinary skills to the utmost.   This is only possible because Simon Spencer’s designs are detailed and are then made to the high standards demanded by the decorative painters.
