	The built in bookcases to the left, were without alcoves (that is fitted onto a flat wall without recesses), to balances the reinstated fireplace, Simon returned the right hand side, in a traditional classical style for these small fitted library book cases.

	An mdf bookcase painted to look like birds eye maple with fiddle back sycamore and burr walnut inlays. Concealed behind the dummy books at both ends are large cupboards for drinks to the right and videos to the left in this small private library. The finish was very similar to highly polished wooden book cases.


	Simon Spencer included these dummy books on cupboard doors to hide the drinks and videos. Not easily seen when the doors are close in the book cases.


	Simon Spencer designed a triple ellipsoid arched head on this built in book case, with central display for a painting and a radiator case below (obscured), with recess in front for sofa and lower cupboards on either side provided with light baffles on the inner side of the pilasters for electrician’s lighting over the top and down the sides of the display bookcases.

	For this returned corner, Simon designed a fitted and built-in run of book cases with cupboards below and light baffles for the electrician’s lighting after installation. Designed both as “down” lights and “shelf flood” lights.
