My custom designed bookcases for this library, were to compliment the existing oak panelling and occupy the spaces available between the windows.

A library I designed which was to be fitted in with the existing late Victorian oak  panelling in a room that was formerly a billiard room.  The mdf built in bookcases were skillfully painted in a decorative faux bois finish, to match, exactly, the existing oak panelling (see paint finishes for details)

In this large Library which I designed had open drawers for CDs in the cupboard under the built in bookcases above.

This is my design for a library running for about 10 meters down one side of a basement hall with the cornice below the ceiling line to allow for cross beams, having a mixture of open built in book case shelves above and lower book cases with cupboards for storage below.

AIn this case my design for this library included alcove built-in book cases on the opposite wall, shown below, and dado (chair rail) height panelling around the room. The breakfront bookcase with the lower side sections made my design lighter and more unusual.

 These two alcoves with the built in book cases, which were part of the fitted library, were designed by me to incorporate low level panel works at dado height beside the fire place and around the room.
