A grand classic built in book case (with upper recess for Plasma Screen TV not shown) designed by Simon Spencer for a country house, incorporating mdf dado, panels and radiator cases. Painted in a light colour to carry through the colours of the room (see panelling 1) 

In this library Simon Spencer’s design allowed for the builders to run their own decorative plaster cornice over the built in bookcases and corner book case after installation.

For the library Simon Spencer designed and provided enough bookcases and because of the attractive breakfront features Simon included in the design his client was able to have a variety of differing book shelf depths.

The library design gave way to a small desk area near the window light which included filing and occasional drawers on either side with a pencil drawer over the deeper central knee hole study work area.  This was a challenge to the manufaturers to complete to the standards required by the design.

This custom built Library was designed by Simon Spencer and fitted to include two sets of double doors and a working study area with the room’s cornice by the builders run across the top of the built in bookcases after their installation .  Simon’s design also incorporated panel works around and over the doors and included occasional drawers as well as filing drawers in the work area for their home office.
Simon designed the book cases to have decorative fluted facia with square pilaster heads in relief over the fluted pilasters with their head and base mouldings.  The lower pilasters were rebated with recessed fielded panels in the doors.
